DIM, or Diindolylmethane, is a plant indole found in cruciferous vegetables such as brocolli, cabbage, brussels sprouts and califlower. It is a direct metabolite of I3C, indole-3-carbinol. DIM is oil soluble and must be taken with food or Flax Oil.
DIM promotes better estrogen metabolism in men and women. Numerous studies have shown that DIM can help lower and balance your estrogen levels. It’s important to balance your estrogen levels to maintain good breast, uterine, cervical and prostate health. It has been used for the prevention of breast, uterine and colorectal cancer. Men, you can also use DIM to prevent prostate enlargement. Ladies, you can also use DIM to help treat your premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and menopause.
Recently, researchers at UC Berkeley have discovered DIM to have anti-viral properties against the Human Papilloma Virus, HPV. It’s currently being used to treat Recurring Respiratory Papillomatosis caused by HPV. It’s also in Phase III clinical trials for Cervical Dysplasia, a precancerous condition caused by HPV.
